Women of the local Dalit community of Malaili, Malangwa Municipality, Ward No. 7 of Sarlahi stage a sit-in protest in front of the District Administration Office from September 6 alleging irregularities in the distribution of rations and other government services in their ward.
The women of the local Dalit community alleged that the municipality has not informed about any other facilities including rations for Dalit families for the last four years since the local elections. They further allege that the government services provided to the target community were distributed only to the relatives, cadres of the local representative who have won the election and rich people.
The protesting women accused the elected representatives of the municipality of providing rations, zinc sheets for building houses, hand pipes for drinking water, compensation in case of natural calamities and other facilities targeted for the of the poor and Dalits to their relatives and neighbours.
