Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy of Malika Gaonpalika-4 on September 4 on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl.

According to Inspector Birendra Raj Gurung of the District Police Office, Myagdi, the victim's family lodged a complaint against the accused September 4 accusing him of raping the girl on January 15.

He said that the victim did not disclose the incident due to fear and intimidation.

Police have arrested the accused and are conducting further investigation, said Inspector Gurung.

The victim underwent a medical examination at Beni Hospital on September 4.
