Local-level employees staged a protest with black bandages on their hands in Bardiya alleging that they have faced discrimination. Even though they are working under the Employees Adjustment Act 2018, they submitted a 13-point protest letter to the Prime Minister through the Chief District Officer of Bardiya against the exclusion of them from the definition of civil servants, lack of policy arrangement regarding facilities, not ensuring the circular path, lack of legal provision regarding the management of employees working at a local level. Khadga Prasad Oli, a member of the local level Employees' Rights Forum, said that if the demand is not addressed, they will stage further protests.
