Called by Farmers Forum associated with IT Army, hundreds of farmers stage a rally with their tractors from Garuda to Gaur at Rautahat district in a 22-kilometre. The protestors demanded supplying the necessary urea required for rice fields. Other demands included providing pensions to farmers, agriculture insurance, sufficient agriculture loan, and exempting tax in buying tractors.
The leaders participating in the protest mentioned the initiation of the next farmers' movement from Rautahat hinting at the historic farmers' movement in 1952 that started from Rautahat. The leaders from Nepal Communist Party Upendra Shah, Raj Kishor Yadav, Tribhwan Shah and ex Provincial MP Kundan Kushawa addressed the mass assembly after the tractor march.
They also warned of other periodic protests if their demands are not met. The protestors carried the flag of the Nepal Communist Party printed with a Sickle and hammer.
