A group of local youths staged a demonstration in Ghantaghar of Birgunj demanding compensation for the farmers who sustained huge losses due to the sudden heavy rainfall last week.  Lokatantrik Samajwadi Party youth leader Om Prakash Sarraf said that the government had not been paying any attention to providing relief to the poor farmers who had sustained losses as their crops were inundated in the flood and rendered useless.
