Staffs of Sawabalamban Laghubittya Bittiya Sanstha are on a sit-in protest at the main branch of the organization in Kamalpokhari for 81 days demanding the minimum wage set by the government. According to Deepak Chaudhary, chairman of the organization's staff union, the demands of the demonstration are to provide minimum wage set by the government, trade unions should be allowed to operate, the exercise of legal labour rights should not be restricted, the cost of treatment of 250 employees infected with COVID should be paid, and discrimination should be eliminated in adjusting the salaries, grades and allowances of the assistant and support category employees.
