Tamakoshi Hydroelectrocity Project-Free Employee Union started a protest on October 30, demanding to make the contract and daily wage employees permanent. They organized symbolic protest by tying black ribbon at work on September 1 and doing 2 hours pen down on September 2. The protesting group mentioned that they are preparing to stop the production from the hydel plant from September 3, after the management ignored their protest. An agreement was done between the project and protesting Free Employees Union on October 19 to make the daily wage and contract employees permanent by completing the required procedures. However, the employees blamed that, the project bypassed the agreement and recruited new staffs by creating an artificial void.  At present, there are 114 employees who are in contract status in the project.
