Locals padlocked the Chaudhary Group's noodle factory in Dumkauli, saying that it has polluted the environment. The Chaudhary industry in Dumkauli has been producing noodles, snacks, Rio, beer and cigarettes. The locals are protesting as they are unable to stay in the area due to the dust being blown from the rice husk in the boiler machine used for the operation of the factory.

The Devachuli Municipality has been operating the factory without responding to the factory management's demands to operate the factory with the least amount of environmental damage possible.
