Law practitioners, led by Pramod Prasad, the president of the Birgunj Bar Association, staged a sit-in against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabra at the temporary bench of the Janakpur High Court, Birgunj. At the call of the Nepal Bar Association, legal practitioners staged a sit-in from 11 am to 12 noon on November 14 in support of the bar association's movement.
Advocate Chandrika Patel informed that the sit-in was started as per the decision of the Bar to make the movement nationwide from November 14. The agitation has intensified after Chief Justice Jabra denied to resign.
