The law practitioners of High court Biratnagar and district court Morang staged a demonstration on November 14 demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabara. They staged a demonstration from 11 am till 12 pm. 

During the demonstration, they chanted slogans such as 'Resign the controversial Chief Justice who cannot uphold the dignity of the court'. According to advocate Bikas Thapa, regular hearings of both the courts have resumed after the protest. Senior Advocate Suresh Lal Shrestha said that the program was organized by the Bar Association to protest against the police crackdown on legal practitioners and the distortion and inconsistency of the Chief Justice.
