Nepal Communist Party headed by Netra Bikram Chand called for a nationwide strike today against the increment in fuel prices. The Kathmandu valley has the minimal influence of the strike other than fewer numbers of public vehicles operating today compared to normal days.
The cadres of the protesting party demonstrated in the Sundhara area by burning sire and trying to obstruct the road. The police and the protestors faced off against each other in the process, and a few protestors are arrested by the police.
