Twelve injured in a clash between police and law practitioners in Kathmandu

A clash broke out between police and the law practitioners who were demonstrating demanding the resignation of Cholendra Shamsher Jabara, chief justice. Twelve people, including Bar Chairman Chandeshwar Shrestha, have been injured in the incident. Police claimed that force was used after the demonstrators tried to break the security cordon. 

Lawyers including Bar Chairman Shrestha, Kapil Pokhrel, Raman Karna, Yuvraj Bhandari, Gopal Sapkota, Rishi Ram Ghimire and Prakash Maharjan were injured in the sit-in at the Supreme Court premises.
