The locals demonstrated at the headquarter of Jajarkot district demanding the punishment for the guilty party in the murder of 18-year-old Prakash Jung Shahi from Bheri municipality-3, Syala on November 23. The demonstrators shut down the Khalanga Bazar and rallied across the town before protesting in front of the district administration office. Shah was murdered on November 22, while going to observe a fair at Sanibheri rural municipality-1, Bamnikhet of West Rukum.
Police have arrested the accused Sarjan Khatri, Shivaraj Pariyar, and Santosh Pariyar of Bheri municipality-1 Kalechaur. Also, Dinesh Kc of Bheri municipality-1 Kalegaun and Kesh Bahadur Budha living at Rawatgaun of the same ward are arrested. The DSP Madhu Kumar Thapa said that they are investigating the case based on the nature of the incident, postmortem report, and call details.
