Employees of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan Municipality stage a rally on November 23 alleging that on November 22, the ward chairpersons of Janakpurdham Sub-municipality 3, 4 and 7 mistreated the sanitation workers. Employees handed over a memorandum to Dhanusha Chief District Officer Bandhu Prasad Bastola demanding action against the culprits saying that the ward chairpersons have repeatedly mistreated the employees when they do not work in their favour.

Meanwhile, on November 22 there was a dispute between the ward chairman of Janakpurdham-4 Shurdan Singh and the sanitation workers. Regarding the incident, the ward chairpersons of 3, 4 and 7 had padlocked the office of Mayor Lal Kishor Sah on Monday.
