The locals had padlocked the ward office of Dhanauji Rural Municipality Ward No. 4 of Dhanusha for four months by handing over a memorandum with various demands alleging irregularities. Stakeholders have not shown any interest in informing the office even though it has been padlocked for four months. The service recipients have also been affected by the padlock in the ward office. Local Dipendra Kumar Mandal complained that there was no initiative to inform the office even after months.
The locals had padlocked the ward office demanding to make public all the accounts after seeing the payment of the non-work plan in the ward. The budget was set at Rs 5 million in the first year, Rs 10 million in the second year and Rs 9.5 million in the third year since the local government came to Dhanauji. Similarly, a budget of Rs. 20 million was sealed in the current fiscal year.
