Students of Nepal Engineering College, Changunarayan Duwakot, Bhaktapur staged a protest in front of the District Court, Bhaktapur on November 25 warning not to release the swindlers. The then president of the college, Lambodar Neupane, committed fraud against the college The students, who came with a warning not to save him, have been protesting in front of the court gate all day.
Lambodar was released on bail after paying the same amount by influencing the former Commissioner of the then Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority Rajnarayan Pathak by bribing Rs. 78 lakhs to privatize the college,
Nearly 300 students carrying placards with various slogans chanted slogans in front of the court gate. Leaders of student organizations close to big and small political parties including Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Center), locals and well-wishers of the college also participated in the sit-in.
