Students arson and vandalized the physical assets of the school for using the school as a venue of conducting party elections by canceling the examination.
The students from class 6 to 12 of Bhola Secondary School of Mahagadhimai Municipality-10, Ganjbhawanipur in Bara damaged almost a dozen of tables, benches, and chairs of the school and also arson these assets on December 3. The election of the Nepali Congress, Bara district region no.2 was scheduled in the school by canceling the terminal examination that was ongoing since November 28.
The students demanded that the principal Mohan Prasad Teli should have provided the notice about the cancellation of examinations a day earlier. "The local leaders still make school a political ring and don't abide by the Education Act", said the student Ramji Prasad.
The local parent Shree Narayan Kushuwa said," It is not legit for party leaders to cancel the exam for conducting their elections, in the backdrop that the school hasn't been regular since 2 years due to COVID."
