Madhes, Dhanusha, Janakpur

Local representatives burnt the effigy of Lal Kishor Sah, Mayor of Janakpurdham claiming that there has been no sanitation in the Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan area even during the "Sita Ram Vivah Panchami" festival.

Ward Chairman of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 7, Janakiram Sah, said that the mayor did not take any initiative to remove the garbage even after they have been informing him regarding the sanitation a month ago. According to the demonstrators, the sub-metropolis has not sent a vehicle to pick up garbage in Janakpurdham Ward No. 7 and 4 for a month. Though the Mayor of Janakpurdham sub-metropolis, has launched a sanitation campaign on the occasion of Vivah Panchami on the initiative of Janaki Mandir, garbage has been piled up on various roads.
