The grant teachers and teachers of grade teaching padlocked the municipal office of Junichade rural municipality demanding the payment of their salary since last July. The protesting teachers collectively released a press statement stating their demands and submitted the memorandum to the rural municipality office.
The demands include payment of salary without delay, management of level-wise salary based on the provision of the federal government, providing dress allowance, scaling the salary based on the level of teachers as per the provision of the federal government among others.
The teacher's struggling committee also warned the local administration about further activities of protest if the demands are not met. 13 teachers from Secondary school, 40 from Primary School, 10 from Basic School, 28 from Grade Teaching Program, and 9 Office Assistants have complained of not getting the salary.
