In the context of the 16-day day against violence against women, the youths staged a protest against violence against women at Maitighar Mandala. The protest was organized by Youth Advocacy Nepal in collaboration with social organizations including Action Aid Nepal.

 The protest started with the slogan 'Let's start from home, end violence against women. The youths displayed placards with slogans such as 'Respect human rights, end violence against women. For women's rights, women should have equal access to power and resources as men, said Naren Khatiwada, president of Youth Advocacy Nepal.
