Locals and relatives of Arjun Das, a 25-year-old youth of Kailali Janaki rural municipality-9, who was killed six days ago, staged a sit-in and padlocked in the municipal office along with eight statement demands. Das was found murdered in a forest in Janaki rural municipality-9 of the Kailali district of far-western Nepal on December 18. The police were informed by the people who saw the dead body while going to the forest to fetch the animal fodder.
Arjun's body has been kept at Tikapur Hospital. The Janaki village municipality is scheduled to discuss the issues raised by the victims on December 30. Ward Chairman of Janaki Rural Municipality-9 Khakendra Bhandari informed that a meeting has been convened at 1 pm to discuss with the victims and local administration.
