Patients and their relatives staged a sit-in at the District Administration Office in Humla after failing to get flight tickets to travel to referred hospital outside the district for medical treatment on May 23. A patient Punche Kami said that he had to appeal to the administration after he did not get a ticket. Although the hospital referred Kami out of the district on May 22, he had to stay in the district without getting a ticket. Rupesh Tamata, a relative of the patient alleged that the airlines distributed the ticket on the basis of reach rather than giving to the needy. He further added that after his father's eyes turned yellow and he had a complex problem with his liver, but the airline staff distributed tickets to others rather that who had been referred for emergency by the district hospital.
