Police arrested Suraj Kumar Sah, 25, of Morang Katahari rural municipality-4 currently working in a restaurant at Birgunj metropolis-8, Laxmi Budhathoki, 42, manager of Karki Hotel at Birgunj-16, and  Harichandranath Yogi,35, of Jumla Hema rural municipality-3, a temporary resident of Birgunj-16 were arrested on May 30, on the charge of raping a 25-year-old woman by keeping her hostage. Suraj Kumar Sah brought the victim to a hotel at Birgunj bus park on May 19 by promising to marry her and raped her multiple times. 

According to the police, the victim was then left in Karki's hotel on May 22 by Sah and then he absconded. Police further added that Laxmi Budhathoki handed the victim to Harichandranath Yogi and kept in his room where she was tortured and raped by being held hostage. The victim escaped on May 28 night and came in contact with her relatives. Police have filed case against the arrested under rape and human trafficking charge.
