Nepal Students Union affiliated with Nepali Congress staged a transportation strike on June 23, in Kawasoti of Nawalparasi East against the price hike in petroleum products by obstructing vehicles. The demonstrators demanded to adjust the price in the market because the government's price hike in petroleum products also increased the price of other goods and foods as well. The demonstrators displayed placards and chanted slogans against the inflation.
