The former contract employees and cadres of Nepali Congress padlocked the office of Dhungeshwor rural municipality on July 18 demanding to extend the contract duration and not to terminate the contract employees. Kalawati Neupane, deputy chairperson of the rural municipality claimed that they were planning to resolve the issue discussion but the Nepali Congress led by former ward chairperson Nagendra Malla implemented unnecessary politics. She further alleged that due to padlock, she was locked inside her office for more that 20 minutes. It was concluded in the meeting held on July 14, not to renew 42 contracts of the contract employee.
