A 15-year-old boy from Mahalakshmi Municipality-7 was arrested on July 24, on the charge of raping an 8-year-old girl on July 12. The victim's side lodged a complaint against the accused at Jitpur police station on July 24. According to the victim's 21-year-old brother, the victim was going for a swim in Lakshmi Khola located in Mahalakshmi Municipality-7 on July 12 when she was raped.
