A complaint was filed against Dev Bantawa Rai, aka Diwahang of  Jantedhunga rural municipality-3, Kahule in Khotang on the charge of raping a 13 year old minor girl repeatedly.  The girl studied at class 9 by living at her maternal uncle's house. 

Rai first raped the girl on the night of April 12 by taking the girl into his own bedroom when she had gone to a neighbors house for a Puja ceremony. Rai threatened to murder her, if she informed anyone of the incident. Then after, Rai committed the act number of times. 

Rai raped the girl lately on June 17. She saved herself that day by locking herself inside the toilet after he tried to assault her when resisting his sexual advance. She made the incident public through a sister-in-law from the neighborhood after that incident. The victim's family had filed the complaint on July 20 at the district police office. 

Rai had forced the family to reconcile after the case became public. He absconded after the complaint was filed in the police station. Police are looking for the accused.
