Parents of a 16-year-old girl in Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality of Kaski have padlocked the school where the girl was studying after she became pregnant through relationship with a boy at the school. The girl had stayed hosted in the school to prepare for her SEE. According to the law, sexual intercourse with someone below the age of 18 is considered rape even if it is consensual. Police have summoned both the boy who is 17-year-old and the girl for further investigation.
