58-year-old Dhaniram Lamichhane of Birendranagar-13 Bhoot Chowk, who was arrested on August 18 through Birendranagar Forest Division Offices, died after being taken into custody by the forest office. Lamichhane's relatives have started a protest alleging that he died after being physically assaulted by forest staff in Surkhet. Forest Division Office arrested for cutting numbered trees of the forest on the Madan Bhandari Highway. Relatives are demanding an investigation into the incident.
