Technicians of an intensive urban and building construction project under the Ministry of Urban Development staged a demonstration in Ramechhap on August 23 alleging frequent interference in the professional development and work area of ​​the technical staff. The demonstrators displayed black banner as a protest. They have demanded the implementation of the decision to abolish the Local Infrastructure Development Department mentioned in the budget statement. Contrary to the budget statement, the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on August 4, decided to bring the department under the Ministry of Urban Development. Technicians alleged that the government repeatedly interfered with the building and architect group of the Ministry of Urban Development and was restricting the professional development of the employees of the said group.
