Students picketed the office of Ramgram municipality of Nawalparasi West on September 14 protesting against the transfer of 33 teachers including the principal of the Pawan Secondary School, while National Children's Day is being celebrated across the country. The work of the municipality came to a standstill due to the protest after the students started entering through the main gate of the municipality, there was a scuffle with the police for some time. The students of Pawan Secondary School said that the protest will continue until the transfer is withdrawn. Ramgram Municipality Mayor Dhanpat Yadav said that since they were transferred according to the rules, the demands of the students will be decided by the meeting of the executive body.
