The employees of Bhangaha municipality in Mahottari halted all work of the municipal office and service delivery of all eight municipal offices in agitation after Bijaya Kumar Yadav, the head of administrative, planning, and monitoring of Bhangaha Municipality verbally and physically assaulted by Deputy Chairperson, ward chairperson, and executive member on September 5. Administrative Officer Shravan Kumar Sah alleged that Deputy Chairperson Shanti Kumari Singh, Ward Chairperson Ganesh Mahato, and Executive Board members physically and verbally abused Bijaya Kumar Yadav during a dispute between local representatives and employees of the municipality.
The employees demanded Bhangha municipality and police administration to create a safe working environment for the employees and take strict action against the ward chairperson Mahato who was involved in assaulting Bijaya Kumar.
