Police arrested Suman Rai, a 28-year-old man from Birtamod municipality-10 of Jhapa, on the charge of abating suicide of a 16-year-old teenage girl Sumitra Sherpa of Miklajung rural municipality-2 of Panchthar.  According to the police, the victim and the accused were introduced to each other through Facebook and the teenager reportedly committed suicide after she felt that Rai was showing disinterest in chatting with the teenager.  The victim's 42-year-old father Dhan Kumar Sherpa lodged the complaint against the accused on October 11 after the accused started to assassinate the character of the girl by creating a fake Facebook under her name. The victim committed suicide on October 13.  Police are further investigating the incident.
