Police arrested Remant Buda, a 20-year-old youth of Bangad Kupinde municipality-3 in Salyan, on the charge of raping and attempting to murder an 18-year-old girl of Banke. According to the police, the accused lured the victim with promise of marriage and raped her by taking her in a jungle of  Bangad Kupinde municipality-1 on October 29. The accused absconded after attempting to murder the victim and injuring her. The victim alleged that the accused left her unconscious to die after injuring her in several parts of her body.
