Dilip Mandal a cadre of the Janamat party physically assaulted Nabin Yadav a 28-year-old journalist affiliated with Public Press daily, Aam Nepali Television's reporter and newsreader of Channamasta F.M. on December 22. The eyewitness of the incident alleged that the journalist who was filming the video of the demonstration staged by the Mithila Institute of Literature and Arts (Milaf) who were burning the effigy of CK Raut, the chairperson of the Janamat Party was assaulted by Mandal and he also snatched his camera as well. The victim sustained injuries on his hands and neck.
