Police arrested two Indian citizens Babu Sahad a 40-year-old man and Mohammad Jahangir on the charge of rape and Human trafficking. According to the police, those accused raped a 27-year-old woman on January 26 who came to a hotel in Biratnar of Morang searching for work along with her sister's 14-year-old daughter. According to the station manager of Sana Hath Haru Nepal, the accused who were staying at the hotel lured the woman by promising to find her a lucrative job in India and raped her. They were arrested when they were attempting to traffic the woman and the girl to India. Police are further investigating the incident.
