Family members and relatives of 42-year-old Sunaina Kumari Yadav of Maulapur municipality Sonarniya in Rautahat who was beaten to death during a dispute by her neighbors staged a demonstration in front of the District Police Office in Rautahat on March 19 evening protesting against the release of the accused.
Police had released the accused on March 13 after taking them into control briefly. The deceased's family and locals have been protestinga gainst the police since.
Police had arrested Bhola Ray Yadav, his wife Kalawati Devi Yadav, and Madhani Devi on the charge of murdering Sunaina Kumari Yadav a 42-year-old woman in Maulapur municipality-9 by attacking her with a bamboo stick on March 9. According to the eyewitness, all three accused brutally assaulted Sunaina who is their neighbor over the dispute about defecating in their field. The accused absconded after the victim fell unconscious and she later lost her life. The relatives of the victim and the locals were agitated after the police arrested the 72-year-old husband of Madhani Devi as a prime suspect. The deceased's family accused the police of not arresting the real culprits. Police stated that they are further investigating the incident.
