Eleven ward offices of three local levels in Panchthar have been padlocked by Province 1 renaming Joint Struggle Committee on March 20 against the naming of Province 1 as 'Koshi'. The demonstrators padlocked eight ward offices of Phidim municipality-1,2,4,5,6,9,11,12, Falgunanda rural municipality-1, and Phalelung rural municipality-7. The demonstrators demanded that the province should be named based on its identity. However, there is no consensus between Kirant Yakthung Chumlung and Kirant Rai Yaokkha that the province should be named Limwuwan Kirant or Kirant Limwuwan. Since Chumlung Limwuwan and Yaokkha brought forward the issue of Kirant, there was no consensus among the protesting organizations.
