Panchbir Lama and his wife Saili Maya of Belkot VDC-6, Nuwakot have been on hunger strike since June 14 claiming that their daughter, Sushila Tamang, 21, was murdered and demanding for investigation.
No agency has so far responded to their demand. They have been on strike in front of Bhadrakali Temple. Panchabir says, “We hope to get justice one day as we are staging strike near Singh Darbar (administrative centre of Nepal Government)”.
Sushila was working as maid at the house of Bijay Shrestha at Koteshwar in Kathmandu Metropolis-35 when her body was found hanging on February 8, 2013. The family claims she was killed.
Saili Maya says that Sushila was two-month pregnant, had marks of finger on neck and her body was found touching the ground.
