The sister organizations of the Madhes-centric party Democratic Youth Association, the Socialist Youth Association, the Democratic Student Association, the Student Janmat Association, and the Socialist Student Union staged a demonstration on April 29 demanding to place the statue of Ramesh Mahato, the first martyr of the Madhes movement, in Bhanuchok in Dhanusha. The demonstrators burnt tyers. The demonstrators chanted slogans against the police's intervention during their demonstration.
