A patrolling team of Area Police Office, Mangabare has arrested three cadres of 30-party front at Deumai Municipality on January 11 on charge of vandalizing a vehicle. They reportedly vandalized a vehicle with the number plate Me 2 Kha 2020 for defying the bandh called by the front. The arrestees have been identified as Som Begha, Purna Chandra Limbu and Gentle Limbu of Deumai Municipality-4. The front led by UCPN-M had called for bandh in nine districts of the eastern regional demanding for the constitution by consensus and identity-based federal system.
