(Update)-First episode of COCAP's pressure campaign organized:-Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP) today organized a "People's Cautionary" campaign at New Baneshwor to pressurize political parties to promulgate a new constitution within the stipulated date of Jan 22. CA member Prakash Jwala was invited as the chief guest of the program. In the program CA member Jwala apprised the participants about the attempts being made within the constituent assembly to promulgate the constitution in time. He also tried to address the queries of many participants. Other speakers at the campaign Subodhraj Pyakurel, Sharmila Karki, Charan Prasai, Bishnupukar Shrestha, and Usha Baruwal stressed the need to promulgate the constitution within Jan 22.
(Updated)-Second episode of COCAP's pressure campaign organized:-As a part of the Campaign held earlier on Jan 9 at New Baneshwor to pressurize political parties to promulgate a new constitution within the stipulated date of Jan 22, COCAP (Collective Campaign for Peace) today organized a similar event at New Baneshwor. . Members of the Constituent Assembly Shyam Shrestha, Garima Shah, leaders of civil society Kapil Kafle, Shovakar Budhathoki and Bhawani Kharel spoke at the program. All the speakers at the program stated that the political parties must promulgate a democratic and inclusive constitution within the stipulated date of Jan 22 at all cost. They also opined that failing to do so might push the country into turmoil.
