District Court has ordered to remand a 35-year-old man, accused of raping a 14-year-old girl, in prison on January 22. The victim’s side had filed a complaint at Area Police Office, Beltar on January 5, 2015 leading to his detention. Police handed over the file of investigation to the district government attorney on January 22. It is learnt that the accused had been raping the girl repeatedly for the last eight months. The medical checkup conducted at District Hospital, Bokse on January 4 showed that the girl was seven-month pregnant. The accused was arrested on January 3 at his home following the verbal complaint by the victim’s family, Inspector Dilli Bahadur Chaudhan said.
