Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy on charge of raping a 4-year-old girl on March 4. Inspector Rabiraj Thapaliya of the District Police Office said that the accused was arrested following information provided by the locals. Health check-up and treatment of the victim was conducted at the District Hospital Panchthar on March 4. Dr. Kali Prasad Yadav of the hospital said that the health condition of the victim is stable. Family of the victim has registered an FIR against the accused at the DPO on March 5. The guardian of the child said that the accused raped her after luring her on March 2. Inspector Thapaliya said that investigation into the incident is ongoing after extending the remand of the accused. He said that the accused would be charged under rape.
