Two policemen have been injured after being attacked by a group of 50 men belonging to the local Rana Tharu community in a brick kiln in ghuiyaghat of Dhangadhi. A group of policemen had reached the brick kiln after they were reported that a fight was taking place there. But when they reached the kiln some 50 men suddenly started attacking them with bricks and sticks. Policemen Ganesh Raj Joshi and Thaneshwor Panta have been seriously injured due to the attack. They are undergoing treatment at Seti Zonal Hospital. Two other police officers successfully escaped the attack. DSP Bishwo Raj Khadka of district police officer said that all the attackers had been identified and police would immediately take action against them.
