Rajmati Devi Yadav, 72, of Barahi Birpur VDC-4 has been beaten to death by her brother-in-laws Bidhyanand Ray, 55, Shivanand Ray, 50, Kamanand Ray, 40, and Bidhyanand’s son Chandan Kumar Ray on April 2. Rajmati died while being taken to BPKIHS, Dharan. Son of the deceased, Bechan Ray said that she was attacked with a baton and iron rod. Daughter-in-law of the deceased Bina Devi Ray, 38, granddaughters Pushpa, 17, and Muna, 13, were injured in the incident. The injured are being treated at Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj. Bechan has filed the FIR against the accused at District Police Office on April 2. The police say that the accused were absconding.
