Police arrested 48-year-old Bhawante BK of Burtiwang VDC-1, Baglung in Pokhara on April 5 who was accused of raping two girls aged 6 and 7. The girls’ family informed the police claiming that BK  raped the girls who had come to visit their relatives luring them with chocolate and mobile phone. Investigation Officer Devi Prasad Poudel said that he was detained on April 5 following the relatives’ verbal report and pressed charges of rape and began investigation against him on April 6. It is said that the girls’ relatives rescued the girls when they heard one of the girls crying after he had raped one girl and began raping another. The medical checkup of the girls was conducted at the Western Regional Hospital on April 5. INS
