Bandh continues in Jhapa, protesters torch a vehicle

 Protesting the arrest of cadres of UCPN-Maoist led 30 party alliance yesterday on the day of bandh cadres of the alliance have decided not to call off today's prescheduled general strike in Jhapa district. Police had yesterday arrested many protesters including Dharma Shila Chapagai of the UCPN-Maoist led alliance for vandalizing municipal office in Mechinagar and Land Revenue office in Damak. Meanwhile, protesters have torched an Indian vehicle bearing number plate WB 74 B 9595 today morning at around 8:15 am in the morning. The vehicle was going from Kharsyang in Darjeeling to Dharan.
