Lucky Sherpa, 50, of Diktel Municipality-5 has filed a complaint against Nuribabu Sherpa, 55, and his wife Nur Kumari Sherpa, 45, of the same place accusing him of beating her on the charge of being a witch. She filed the complaint at District Police Office on April 13. In her complaint, she says that the perpetrators had been verbally abusing her whenever their family members or animals became ill but on April 4, both punched her and beat her with the stick. SI Yadav Gautam of District Police Office, Diktel said that both sides will be summoned for discussion and that if the case could not be settled in compromised, a case would be filed.
