Police have arrested a person on the charge of his involvement in raping two minor sisters in Jhapa district on Wednesday morning. According to the Area Police Office, Birtamod, the arrested is Singh Bahadur Khawas, 38, of Shaniarjun Municipality-5. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Bahadur Raut, said that Khawas was arrested on the basis of a complaint of the rape case. Khawas had raped both sisters on Tuesday evening. Khawas raped the six-year-old and three-year-old sisters at their house at a time when they were alone in the house. He had consumed alcohol, it is learnt. Both the girls underwent health check-up at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences on Tuesday night, added Raut.
